Were trying to figure out how to get our five local boys to Farmington, New Mexico for the High School Finals-it's 2500 km's one way lo. There's nobody with a small jet wants to do some charity work lol. It's going to be a long two days in the minivan driving down there-gas is $5.60/gallon up here.

When we go home to Alberta, it is 800 miles one way and we do it in a day with 3 kids under the age of 6 and they have no problem, I'm sure 5 teenagers can make 1500 in 2 days and survive can't they?!

Well, darn! I thought ya might be coming closer to me, like maybe Silver City, or even Las Cruces.......but Farmington is a heck of a long ways away.......

Good thing about it is that our gas prices are cheaper than yours are, sounds like. Got a little gas station-grocery store-feed store-cafe combo here, and they raised their prices to $3.57 a gallon sometime since I filled up 3 days ago. Of course, if ya pay cash, they give ya a ten cent a gallon discount! Makes it the cheapest gas around here.

Piece of cake! Like a Sunday cruise. :D :D

We once did Manitoba to Los Angeles and back in 10 days, spending a day at Disneyland and a day in Yellowstone, and a half day in Vegas, in a Chevette, through the desert in August, with a 7 year old and a 9 year old.

Madness you say? Na! Just what happens when you're a trucker's daughter and grew up with the notion that less than 600 miles a day wasn't worth getting in the car for! :D :D :D :D

There's some beautiful country to drive through, and I bet you'd love the trip. 8) 8)
