We just came in from moving some yearlings and we have power! :D

It was kind of nice sleeping at night without a light shining in the window, but it's going to be nice to have running cold and hot water on demand again too!

I must be getting old.

I hate to admit to being such a sissy but if power os off very long I back the service truck out, throw the switch to "reserve power", start the generator.

Yes the generator cost more than the power grid but we get along. We have been out for as long as 10 days. It is not uncommon for ice to put it out for 3 or more days.

I have been looking for a small generator that I could put in the creek - - - here the local COOP would be required to buy my excess power at the grid rate. If anyone has any info on a small system please let me know.
