The storm that came thru earlier...even tho it was kinda ruff.....dropped 2 1/2 inches of rain..... Love it!!!!! Thank you Lord!!!!!
I was almost caught out in it. I'd went out to the cow pasture to check on a calf. And was on the 4 wheeler toolin around when a big fat rain drop landed on the plastic fender. I Looked at it  .....and thought....oh I can ride around a lil bit longer...it's not really gonna rain. I looked out across the pasture, and seen lots of drops  . So decided it might be best to head on back to the truck. Got in the truck, started it, and the bottom fell out. I sat out there watchin it rain for a good 30 minutes, and decided maybe I should get myself on home, startin to lightenin quite a bit. Got home, and I just thought the bottom had fell out earlier....it really fell out. Got dark....windy.....heard the storm had hail in it, but didn't see any here. Thank goodness. Couple trees down on our lil back woods roads, and Lil Lilly had to take a different route home.

Just glad for the rain.

It's so good to just sit and watch it come down, when it's been dry
for so long. I know just how you felt, Jersey Lilly.

I hope it's just priming the pump and you get more.
I'm happy for you and your neighbors. There is just nothing
like a good rain when ya been yearning for it!!!

I was watching this storm on radar....in the early stages I had a big red blotch north of me. There was no way it could miss. Outside, thunder...really dark to the north...a drop here and there...wind came up....and it all blew just to the west of me. Got dampness and that's about it.

Sorry bout that jcummins. I know how that feels. Alot of the lil thunderstorms this year have done that to us. Lil Lilly was in Huntsville when it started, she said it was hailin pea sized when she left the campus. I told her to git her hiney on home asap. Cuz she was in a soft top jeep  Then she calls and says, "I think Walmart got struck by lightenin!!!" Don't know if it did or not. I just wanted her to get home safely.

Well....I thought so to. It's been spitting all morning, but I just came in and checked radar, and it's dang near on top of me, but there's nothing left.

I think the Trinity, the way it turn to the east here, somehow impacts weather.

But I got some couple of weeks ago that you didn't get. It has a way of evening out over time.

We have gotten a ton of rain this year and the Sandhills look better then they have for years. However, the rain did bring about a problem with making the wet meadows even wetter. Last count 400 bales are still standing......................plus the baler is still trying to make bales.

We're in the same "boat" here...we're still trying to mow..it'll probably snow before we get done..but damn the pastures are wonderful!
