I'll be packing a camera (for my job at the newspaper)through 4 ranch rodeos and four nights of regular rodeo --parade, 10K run (I'll wait at the finish line for that one ;) ) etc...
Big SMOKEY BEAR PARADE AND STAMPEDE in Capitan NM ---I'm tired just thinking about it!

Going to the annual parade in Lowndesboro, Al. on the morning of the 4th.

Lot's of antique tractors and animals (had planned on riding a bull but didn't spend enough time in training him) in the parade.

We will later converge to my house to try and make those "Kegs" lighter to load for their return.

Ribs, Boston Butts, and a Brisket on the menu.

My daughter and I are going to see Junior Brown play his double necked guitar, after I go pick up some mares I hauled to Casper to be bred.

Working most of the day as potential big changes are coming here and we have to be ready if not all togehter willing for it.. Hired guy gets the day off so I will probably get twice as much done   Probably go to the top of one of the hills and watch 3-4 shows going on at once.. Kind of an interesting affect if you pick the right spot..

I'm thinking about how you can send up some of yur BBQ Shrimp....damn that sounds good. In fact it all sounds good...except for the warm temps ya'll probbaly have...lol

We're gonna do the normal stuff the first half of the day, ranch stuff...then we'll head over to a neighbors for an evening BBQ and to see their son who is home on leave from Iraq...he just got here last nite...this is his 2cd tour over there...So it'll be good to see him.

Happy 4th ya'll! :!:

I'll be going in to the sale barn office and working on 2nd quarter reports as well as the end of fiscal year reports for the "Big Boys". They gotta know that everything is on the up and up in order to make sure that the customer is taken care of. (I love gov. reg's). THe forcast calls for rain so it should be a good day to be in front of the computer.
Have a safe day!

I've been picking red raspberries and made a sauce with them to go on a layered ice cream cake with a crunchy meringue topping (experimental) and taking it and cucumber-sour cream- onion salad to some friends where we'll eat their fresh picked corn and climb a hill and watch fireworks.

It has been unseasonably wonderful weather lately- really spoiling us! Have a happy 4th everyone. :tiphat:

I am not sure what we'll be doing....

I hope to be picking Juneberries (Saskatoon's for our Northern friends  ) and hope we get to see the BRG's--BRG, Mrs. BRG and BRG Jr. and then get in on some fireworks.

They are just showing the fireworks from Mt. Rushmore on the news...WOW...how beautiful. I hope to someday convince lazy ace that is how we need to spend Independence Day Eve.

Happy 4th of July to everyone! Please remember to keep our veterans and troops in your thoughts and prayers, and to give thanks for their service and dedication to keep our country safe and free. "Lest they be forgotten." May God Bless them all.

Cheers---

TTB

PS Haymaker...thank you for the beautiful post. It sure lifted my patriotic spirit to a new level!
