...the road hog in front of you on Main Street is a combine.

...you leave your jacket on the back of a chair in the cafe and when you go back the next day, it's still there.

...you call a wrong number and they tell you the right one.

...everyone knows all the news before it's published.

...you don't signal turns because everyone knows where you're going.

...you miss a Sunday at church and receive get-well cards.

...no social events can be scheduled when the school gym floor is being varnished.

...Third Street is on the edge of town.

...the telephone book only has one yellow page.

...the year's first baby is born in June.

Only newspaper our lil town has is the school newspaper, if you
want real news you hafta go to the next town and buy a county paper.

This is Sooooo True. No redlights in our town, and only 1 4way stop.

This is also true, I've had the coach tell me to "Take my boots off" :shock:

What telephone book, same as newspaper, we hafta borrow the one from

no red lights here in ennis......no 4 way stops....our town newspaper is printed once a week and covers the entire madison county.....main street is not wide enough for a combine :wink: ......if you call a wrong number, not only do they give you the correct number, but the person probably will call you by first name upon hearing your voice and procede to carry on an hour long coversation with you!!
Ya simply gotta love small town life...nothing in the world like it!!! 8)
