On Monday afternoon an old friend of ours was riding his 4-wheeler and puttering around his farm. A storm came up and when he was driving the bike to shelter out of the hail a freak wind lifted the roof from a building and dropped it on him, he was killed instantly.
84 years and died working, not bad.

Sure feel for his family and friends. But to live to 84 while having a place and staying active is truly a gift. God bless his family.

We had a similar experience close to here on the weekend. A nasty wind/rain storm took down a lot of trees just a few miles east of us an a 60?yr.old guy was killed when the uprooted tree he was trying to cut fell on him, killing him.

Sure beats hell out of wasting away in the 'home', I hope for a similar fate myself at a similar age. Well... I would prefer to be as active til much older, but we'll see how it goes.

You sound like the 90 year old guy who was asked how he would like to die, if he had the choice. He replied " . . . to be shot by a jealous husband . . ."
