as someone who has posted over the years,, it is clear that he is fair in moderating.. maybe some of those who have come latly are judging him on his posts and not on his moderating? and that would not be fair...
moderating and posting on the same board would be difficult but necessary.. but I feel OT has been a fair if not good moderator..
I would like to publicly thank him for his years of fair moderating, as it is a thankless job few want or deserve.

I also agree.
Question OT...When you have a case before you in court and have a bias toward one party involved, do you tell the other party to trust you to be fair or do you recuse yourself?Oldtimer said:Silver said:Justin said:i think you are right

Thank you Steve- and Justin and Silver....This whole thing does not surprise me...If you follow cattletoday- or noticed this all came about from a cattletoday post- where some of the same folks have been whining for months about the moderators- and personally attacking the ones that were publicly known in the same way...(problems that are nonexistent in my view)...
Seems to be more of the anti any authority movement sweeping the country....
I thought a poster over there had the best answer for the complainers--If you think you can do so much better running the forums-- then why not buy the site- or start your own- and then handle/moderate it the way you want to...

You show an obvious bias against conservatives, in general, and many specific posters, yet you tell us to "trust you to be fair". The classlessness with which you post here is what has caused me to question your ability to be fair.
For the record, I voted "yes" on Haymaker's poll because I agree with Steve that I have seen nothing to indicate misuse of moderating power (not to say there isn't proof). But, ethically, shouldn't you recuse yourself from moderating this board?

It seems to me that the biggest number of posters to leave did so AFTER you started posting on here pigfarmer.
