I am surprised at those who feel that OT's moderating has been unfair...

as someone who has posted over the years,, it is clear that he is fair in moderating.. maybe some of those who have come latly are judging him on his posts and not on his moderating?

and that would not be fair...

moderating and posting on the same board would be difficult but necessary.. but I feel OT has been a fair if not good moderator..

I would like to publicly thank him for his years of fair moderating, as it is a thankless job few want or deserve.

Thank you Steve- and Justin and Silver....This whole thing does not surprise me...If you follow cattletoday- or noticed this all came about from a cattletoday post- where some of the same folks have been whining for months about the moderators- and personally attacking the ones that were publicly known in the same way...(problems that are nonexistent in my view)...
Seems to be more of the anti any authority movement sweeping the country....

I thought a poster over there had the best answer for the complainers--If you think you can do so much better running the forums-- then why not buy the site- or start your own- and then handle/moderate it the way you want to...

Question OT...When you have a case before you in court and have a bias toward one party involved, do you tell the other party to trust you to be fair or do you recuse yourself?
You show an obvious bias against conservatives, in general, and many specific posters, yet you tell us to "trust you to be fair". The classlessness with which you post here is what has caused me to question your ability to be fair.

For the record, I voted "yes" on Haymaker's poll because I agree with Steve that I have seen nothing to indicate misuse of moderating power (not to say there isn't proof). But, ethically, shouldn't you recuse yourself from moderating this board?

RM you are talking with a man who cannot spell the word. LET alone apply it if he did he would apologize for running posters off as well as have Macon try and recoup those that he ran off.

I think you have done enough whining and complaining on the subject, don't you? I think everyone is quite clear where you stand. Why not just drop it and get down to regular conversation and debate like the board was meant for?

It seems to me that the biggest number of posters to leave did so AFTER you started posting on here pigfarmer.

Silver, don't you think you have done enough whining about people's whining and complaining?

That's part of the problem with this board...people commenting about someone or why someone says something, instead of commenting on the issues. Your comments are always welcome though. :)

lETS SEE IF i can help you set the record straight bh. alice, nono and the other libs left because they perpetrated a fraud on Hopy, hYPO, and attacked WW.

alice even went so far as to beg Macon to bann her and delete her posts. Seems the real problem was they perpetrated a lie and it failed. I would be willing to bet if the truth be known they had cried wolf one to many times and their credibility was zero.

r2 her mission of being here was to dig out info about BSE because of her husbands death. To try and glean any more info was no longer useful. I hate the loss of her husband but she came here under a false pretense I was told and it seems quite likely.

kola had left, Mike C was attacked for things that were false. Sandhusker still posts.

AGAIN alice AND ALL THE PMERS ALONG WITH YOUR LITTLE FAT buddy ot DID THEIR BEST TO RUN Hypo, Hopy White Wing and Buckeye off. Seems they got caught with their shorts in their mouths and their lies failed.

The way I see it based on their inability to show their faces here they probably sneak up on the mirror with the lights off just to keep from looking themselves in the face.

This isn't the first time Ot's "moderating" has come into question. Quite a few months back we had some poster questioning Ot's position. I supported him then and I support him now. I believe I told Ot at the time, he certainly had a lot more self restraint than I did.

Why would anyone degrade these boards and put an a_$inine poll like this on the boards anyway.

Let's step it up and quit this juvenile crap of silly polls like this.
