Oklahoma defensive coordinator Mike Stoops will interview for the same position at LSU, reports News9 out of Oklahoma City.
News9's Dean Blevins, citing sources, reports LSU head coach Les Miles will offer the job to Stoops at a 6 p.m. CT meeting in Dallas. Blevins reports if offered, Stoops will likely take a few days to mull the decision.
Miles is looking to replace departed defensive coordinator John Chavis, who left earlier this week for SEC West rival Texas A&M.
FootballScoop is reporting that Sooners head coach Bob Stoops told his staff they were free to look for work elsewhere, though that reportedly does not apply to his brother.
