Colorado's new gun restrictions reap consequences

Probably 85% of the land area of Colorado was and is against this, but the whole eastern plains doesn't have enough people to offset Boulder/Denver. One of the major sponsors of the bill is a convicted thief and another proponet doesn't realize that you can re-use magazines, she must think they...

    Feeding replacement hiefers

We give free choice grass hay or millet hay, not high quality. Protien tubs the last month and a little pasture is available then. They don't look that great at that time, but really gain well on pasture. We have some opens doing it this way, but it's a good way of checking your genetics. If...

    -stop-NCBA-

I understand that some don't like NCBA or other organizations. What I don't get is joining forces with the devil to fight your enemy. You do that and the whole industry gets burned.

    OCC and Cole Creek Angus

That was a good analysis Oldtimer. OCC cattle will be small framed and wide, deep cattle. I think they will change type of flat sided cattle faster than any other. The ones I've seen have excellent udders. I think that if you feed heavy, the OCC cattle could get too fat and have reduced...

    Colorado Snow

We got a pretty good snow - maybe 12-15 inches - 90 Miles east of Denver. Wind wasn't as bad as predicted. Pretty good drifts, but I've seen worse. Happy with the moisture. Kind of a mess to get around though, but we'll take it.
