I have some calves at Tri County now, our calves have to be weaned 45 days two round of shots and bunk broke. My calves were 205 days, all calves had to be born in 2007.
I synchronized a much smaller set of heifers. They are due on Feb. 20 about half of them look like they could calve any day. This was my first try at synchronizing and if I can get 60% AI calves I'll be happy. Sure beats checking heat.
I AIed some herefords for a friend last year, those cattle were so gentle I was not sure if we needed a chute or not. If being docile is a factor for the feedlots then they should pay more for herefords.
