    Financial/Commodity Reforms

I'm not much for raising cane.........but I do believe it is time to take back our markets. I think first off we need to make our own gov. "transparent" and we need to get tough on these so called trade negotiators who continually sell us out to other countries. a Prime example is how...

your thoughts on gettin through tough times

yes indeed value added is one thing we have discussed and currently we do sell fat steers on the hoof for those that wish to purchase that way. I do sell crops such as Alfalfa and high moisture corn at least as much as what I do not need. I have a set minimum and like to leave about 15 to 20%...

    70,000 dairy cows?

As a Dairy Farmer I will say there is some light now at the end of the tunnel, I think it has gotten about as bad as it can and based off of the supply and demad being forcasted, we will rebound some this year, but I think with as many Dairy farmers who have sold out in our area, next year...

Need Advice on a Calf please...

From what I can see at the pictures, you have only a slight problem here. The rear feet have weak tendons and poor foot angle which as everyone else has said will improve with time, one thing to maybe consider in the future is to pick a bull with better feet and legs, not so much set in the hocks.
