You are so lucky.
We can't do anything at all about our wolves. They are after all the most endangered species in the universe. Even Idaho and Montana can delist theirs but down here where we have Mexican wolves, or Lobo's we have to let them wreak complete havok and try not to react at all...
The average size of the cow calf operations in the Blue range wolf recovery area is 13 to 400 so your 1000 calves is a stunner to me.
We run 94 head of mother cows. We will not survive the wolves but did OK with coyotes lions and bears over the hundred years this ranch has been in existence...
It all sounds wonderful being able to watch someone in a helicopter killing coyotes. Man if we could only do that with this wolf pack life would be perfect.
Thanks Shorthornguy
this program is really planning a major expansion so I thought more people might want to get involved but so far, the interest seems lagging.

What I liked about her was she was real. Here she was at a meeting where she and Wayne spoke. A US Congressman in a sundress and as gracious and normal and encouraging as she could be no handshaking no posturing and nothing to indicate she wasn't the same as the rest of us.
She wore T...
Stewards is still going, they are still picking people who need help and using Jean Wayne and now Helen's legacy to do their best to help them.
It started in the early 80s for Wayne and Jean and it isn't finished yet.
That is what happens to anyone who dares to fight the feds, they wait...
That's all Helen Chenowyth Hage gets on this site?
The first comment was at least respectful.
The other two commenters obviously have no idea who she was or what she did.
I met Helen only one time. But followed her carrer closely once I realized who she was and what she represented...
