    Russell Bennett was very concerned about proper range management and understood early on the value of keeping the pastures free from overgrazing. It took over 20 years of light grazing to restore the natural grasses in one pasture he acquired. He published another article on the subject in 1956...

    My Grandfather wrote that book. I'm not certain about current events at the ranch but it's located south of Pincher Creek, Alberta and the name was cobbled together from the name of a settler named Reed who lived on the place when my Russell Bennett bought it back in the 1930's.
