Well, i think the issue is resolved. We bled the lines on the hyd pump and ran 25 bales through it. Worked as it should. Now if i can just figure out how to get it to rain so i can use this backup baler. I upgraded my 567 to a 560m. Good decision. Thanks to all who chimes in. Stay warm...

I tried that.. no success. I thought it was the hyd pump. I put a new pump on the tractor. No change. I guess i will switch out the hyd cylinder and hope for success. Thank you for the suggestion.

I actually can see the cylinder shaft extending so if not the tractor hydraulics, then the baler gate cylinder...

Im thinking it might be a gate cylinder leaking internally...i have a couple off an old 535 i will swap out.

I bale with a JD567 in West Nebraska. Ive been having problems with the rear gate creeping up and sending a "gate open" message monitor display. I thought it might be a tractor hydraulic problem but gauges show that not to be the problem. Pretty frustrating. Any clues? Thank you. Super dry...

Some first cutting laid in the field for 3 weeks before being baled. Grinders wont even take it.. lots of grass rolled up tho. Forecast of another tough winter might help prices. We will see. In the 40's this am. Summer will soon be gone.

Sorry to appear uninterested... Certainly not true.. i finished my hay with a 567 and figured I'd work on the 535 later. So I had not kept up with the threads. I can now focus back on repairs to the 535. Thank you again.

I spoke with a producer who had similar bale diameter inconsistencies. Given we have tried about everything, his suggestion was excellent. He stated the inconsistency came from the pump pressure. Changing hyd lines etc allows air pockets etc to be in the system. So I will bleed the lines and...

The issue I'm experiencing is the lack of consistency. I replaced the linkage, oil reservoir, etc. I would get the desired size bale a few times and then it would make a "baby" bale. As I put new belts, and bearings in it, id like to have it as a backup baler. Im currently using a 567...

I replaced and secured all the linkage. I set the knob on 6' for the desired diameter. About every 3rd bale it will activate the tie process at 3-4 on the display gauge to make a 3-4' bale. Inconsistent.
