    Good Sunday Mornin'

The Good Sunday Mornin' makes it seem kinda like old times around here again. Thank you for bringing it back, Shortgrass. Hope everyone has a good Easter Sunday.

    Bottle Calf Help

I've splinted them with sticks and duct tape, and I've done nothing and let them hobble around and tough it out. They seem to get over it and improve in about the same amount of time either way, so that leads me to believe that it's the time and space to exercise it that actually fixes it. It...

Excede antibiotic is given in Muscle Tissue by mistake

Even when we try hard, everything can't be perfect, and the base of the ear doesn't give a lot of margin for error, anyway. That's one of the drawbacks to using Excede, but it is a really good product. The biggest problem is not the location so much, but that you gave it in the muscle instead...

Remember Tex that used to post here?

Okay, I think you're talking about tumbleweed_texn, is that him? He used to sign his posts 'Tex' and I think he did settle in Wyoming. Always love seeing that old pic of your dad on the dozer. That was back when men were men and they weren't scared of anything. That's a really cool pic.

Remember Tex that used to post here?

Was that TXTibbs? Because the member with the username Tex was actually a retread of Econ101, the former Tyson grower that used to post in Bull Session back in the good old days. So many members have come and gone, mostly gone. That's an interesting article, thanks for sharing, FH.

Is This the Middle of June?

Too much rain has actually been a problem for hay production in a lot of Texas. We should be working on a second cutting by now, but still haven't even finished our first cutting. Still a lot of lowland that I can't get into because it's too wet, while the upland sandy areas are drying out...

Should we give this place a funeral?

With the old ranchers.net format, there was a heading at the top of ranchers.net that read: Ranchers.net...for the serious cattle producer Or something similar. Does anyone else remember that? That's the way it's always been around here as long as I remember. Members who mostly made their...

Should we give this place a funeral?

I still check in every day, but yeah, sure slow around here lately. Maybe too soon for a funeral, but sure needs a shot of something. I never go to CT anymore and never have done facebook, but I think that must be where a lot of our crew went. Also, spring has always been kinda slow around...

    Where is everyone?

Nobody here matches that description, but a lot of us still remember when Tam and Connie spanked your ash in Bull Session on a regular basis. I'm sure Big Muddy remembers that, too. LOL

When a Heeler becomes a Header!

Haha...I had forgotten all about Lulu, the OP of this thread. For those of you who don't remember, that was kola. Reminder of the good old rowdy days in Political Bull.

    Back again

Good to have you back, Martin. As FH pointed out, you have been missed - every day.

    Bull sale

It's easy enough to get fed while they're gone, it's opening the gates and feeding that's tough on a man. The price of bulls is crazy. If I were to ever give more than $4k for a bull, he'd have to sign a pledge not to fight or do other stupid bull stuff. I can always pick a few keepers out of...

    Wondering about Mountain Cowgirl

Last seen September 15. Another noticeable absence.

What's the weather like at your place?

We had three frosts in a row a couple of weeks ago, which is kinda early for us, but now having some pleasant fall-like weather again. Looks to be more of the same in the seven day forecast with mostly 40's for lows and 60's for highs, with only a bit of rain in the forecast.

    Is Martin Okay?

Well, this can't be good. Martin was last seen November 4.

What's the weather like at your place?

It was a cool 59 degrees yesterday morning, and not too bad this morning with mid-60's. Mid-90's every afternoon and supposed to be back close to 100 again by the end of the 7 day forecast, so looks like we'll have one more blast of summer. Fire weather danger in the NWS forecast discussion...

    Is Martin Okay?

Yeah, that's not a good thing. I don't post a lot, but I look at his thread every day, and it's sure obvious when he's not here. I think I remember him having computer problems and missing a few days a while back, so hopefully that's all it is. Also missing FH and Mountain Cowgirl - haven't...

Need Help Identifying some Invasive Weeds in Pasture

Yes, S.S.A.P. Back in the good old days of Bull Session, she and Tam would really mix it up with the R-Calf guys like HM and Sandhusker. Good times. Miss the old days when it was really active. @Mountain Cowgirl has been a nice addition to the site, and it's really been nice to have @Peach join...

Need Help Identifying some Invasive Weeds in Pasture

I think it would be worth a try just for the spectator view when Connie finds out the new girl is after old HM. She's always kinda claimed HM for herself, so I don't think she's gonna like that. Should be interesting to watch.

Need Help Identifying some Invasive Weeds in Pasture

Hey, I enjoyed that immensely. No matter what you're smoking, it has really unleashed the creative artiste in you. You're clearly an asset to the site, and had you only been here in the old days, I think we could have gotten you and HAYMAKER fixed up.
