    Kubota Tractors

I see a lot of Kubotas but have never owned one. Most of the people I talk to that are running them chose them because of price and seem happy with them. Orange, red, green, blue - I'm not sure there's a lot of difference anymore as long as you're not buying the economy models within a brand...

What's the weather like at your place?

It's actually 71 degrees at my house this morning. Supposed to be a cold front coming in this afternoon that will drop us to 21 in the morning, then several days with lows in the 20's this coming week. Essentially, we have had no winter up until now, and I'll be honest - it's sort of spoiled...

Neither Pro-Rodeo Or Ranch Rodeo Talked About Much Here

It's a special time of year for the real cowboys in Vegas. Sounds like fancy happenings there. It's a special time of year for us, too - we doctor calves every day. We could jet off to the rodeo, I suppose, but we sure would have a lot to drag off when we got back. So, we just stay here and...

What's the weather like at your place?

I've been running the air conditioner in the tractor here all week. Some record highs last week, into the lower 80's. Cooled off a bit yesterday and finally made it down to more normal like temps. Forecast is for low 70's again by Christmas day, so strange weather this winter for us.

    Thoughts on Vaccine

This is bad news, sorry to hear this FH. Hopefully, the regeneron will knock it out, but I'd do like Nicky suggests and start the ivermectin ASAP, also. Seems like a lot of doctors are being strongarmed into getting away from using ivermectin, but it's stupid not to use it. Good luck to both of...

    8th Annual National Grazing Conference

Murder Beach seems like a strange selection for a grazing conference. I wouldn't go to that even if I had time. What were they thinking? It's not like it's a big secret:

    Vermeer 605N question

Like MC and BMR pointed out, I think it's always going to be hard to have a well-shaped round bale when baling swaths. They're probably always going to be a bit barrel-shaped or lopsided without raking to make a really uniform windrow. But, I understand not wanting to rake that kind of hay, so...

    Vermeer 605N question

I'm familiar with the XL and M, but not the N. I know you said you have trouble even on perfect windrows, but every time I've had trouble with bale shape, the problem has been with the rake or rake operator. But, that's a later model baler, so the dual chamber or some other 'new and improved'...

    The Mighty Fall

FH, speaking of fraudulent cattle deals, I saw recently that the feds had also indicted Garland Nelson. He's the guy from Missouri that killed the Diemel brothers from Wisconsin when they caught on to his scam. I think he finally goes to trial for murder next month. Here's a story on the...

    The Mighty Fall

I think the people who trade commodities do that because it's against the law to smoke crack. Other than that, the addictions seem to have some similarities.

What's the weather like at your place?

Strange weather this year. I really sympathize with you guys going through a drouth and wish I could share some rain because it's way too wet around here. We've had over 12" in May and more rain in the forecast for most of next week. Not to mention that it's cool enough for a jacket out this...

Another bad day for a little girls daddy

I know those Arkansas hillbilly women marry early, but you're a real sicko perv - she must have been about five years old if you've really been married 35 years because she doesn't look a day over 40. I hope you let those two take a pic without you in it so she'll have a picture she can post on...

    Branding season pictures

A calf every 40 to 50 seconds is fast enough. Usually just the two of us and it's been a long time since we could work that fast. We do everything in a squeeze chute and average about 30 per hour on our home-raised calves and we can only do it that fast because we also band at birth. That...

Selling Out - Planning to Move

Good luck finding what you're looking for, BC. Lots of people moving in this country, too. In fact, I've never heard of so many people looking to just completely change their lives and uproot. People are getting out of the dirty cities and the commie states and moving to more rural areas. And...

    Biden the clown

How about cutting red meat consumption by 90%? Feeling the love? That's what some are forecasting will be required to meet the greenie-weenie bullshit being proposed. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9501565/How-Bidens-climate-plan-affect-everyday-Americans.html

What's the weather like at your place?

We just can't quite get warm weather kicked off. Warm season grasses came out, but just haven't done anything. We really need consistent night temps in the 60's to get growth with our predominant species and it's just not happening. Normally can't keep up with grass by this time of year, but...

    Cowboy Hat Or Baseball Cap?

This has been the strangest thread. I've thought about the term webfoot and Mountain Cowgirl mentioned - drug store cowboy - several times while reading it. I can't help but think this thread would have been a lot more fun in the old Bull Session. LOL That said, I wear what I want and I don't...

    Biden the clown

Well said, H. I'd add guns and the Second Amendment to that list because there's more stupidity coming down from Washington regarding gun control. And what about that clown he has planned to head ATF to be sure federal agents are on board to make that happen? David Chipman is a freakin'...
