DOJ aims to block JBS-Swift’s purchase of National Beef

And thank you also. We can't stop Brazilian beef from coming into this country, it already has been for over a hundred years. The biggest threat now, to the US and Canadian cattle industry is XL. Best Regards Ben Roberts

DOJ aims to block JBS-Swift’s purchase of National Beef

Thank You. I'm back for a very short time, as I just don't have the time for this thread. I'm still spending my time trying to help cattle producers though. Have you ever noticed, how we police ourselves in this industry? We must get-over that mind-set. Best Regards Ben Roberts

DOJ aims to block JBS-Swift’s purchase of National Beef

JBS Swift, could care less about owning more old worn-out packing plants, or Five Rivers cattle feedlots in the United States. They bought Swift, and then found that Swift was so poorly managed that it was going to fail. National Beef is very well managed, that was the attraction for JBS. With...

    Packers stealing cattle

I urge my fellow cattle producers to vote with your pocketbooks and vote now, before it’s too late. Quit supporting the packer-aligned trade associations with your membership and contributions, and immediately join and support the trade association – R-CALF USA – that exclusively represents your...

Looks like somebody wants Mexican cattle.

Maxine, are you saying that the workers in the smaller plants are, unskilled and uneducated?

Looks like somebody wants Mexican cattle.

I'm not RobertMac, but would like to respond to your question Maxine. The answer to your question is NO individual ranchers can't "slow process" enough cattle to serve the needs of the US population! I do believe though, that a producer organization, could!

USDA Issues Mandatory Country of Origin Labeling (COOL)

Maxine, can you remember when a radio was a luxury, or a pee-pot in the winter when all you had was an outdoor toilet, now that was a real luxury. Every generation has had more luxuries than the generation before them, and we were not poor. Also, I believe your parting comment of your last...

    MRJ

Maxine, you should fear that 3%, of the beef that is imported. That 3% will become 30% in the future!

Update: COOL turns out to be a non-event.

Porker, how can this be, two of these sessions are in October! Also look at where they are being held, i'm sure the outcome would be different if the sessions were held in the Sandhills of Nebraska or the Big Sky country of Montana.

    Maxine and others

Maxine I've never said or made claims as you say, "benefit only the packers sell more beef." What I have stated before, is, I believe it's wrong that producers Check-Off-Dollars are used to advertise the packers product (BEEF). You are not in the beef business! Your interpretation of that...
