    Share/Lease Cows

I agree with Per, Like Augus 62 says the $ cows are bringing today (Especially if you do not know the cows) I would really think this over before buying 100 cows if one needed to borrow the money, if you have it that's a different matter! I leased cows in the past when I needed my capital for...

Coming to a state near you.

Tam, I can pick someone I trust to sit at the table if need be! But you sure can't pick 50% of those that are at the table, and you don't always know their true agenda's, Good for you if your elected officials have always supported your views, but mine not so much. Good luck 101

Coming to a state near you.

Tam I agree with what your saying ( IF ) one is talking with people that want to work for the good of every one involved, BUT if you think the people in this administration don't have an agenda, your mistaken, and it is not in your best interest. Good luck 101

When to give C&D shot to new borns?

This forum has been really interesting!! Back in the 50"s working at home we never had overeating in our calves, makes one think about why now, most of our cows milk better, calves have better genetics, better nutrition today with minerals and cubes. When I was growing up I can only remember one...

Alpha C&D helps us out and has for years, we also give C&D to our cows and seems to help us even more, Where we run them when their about a week old is on a native Western Wheat Grass pasture, that is only grazed in the spring, usually off by May 15 so usually a lot of old grass from year to...

Well good luck finding any?? I've used Cammmack's , Green and Brown, different posts out of the Whitewood and Custer, bought from a guy peddling posts out of Canada, most will not last over 7 years for us. John Deere 6400

I have to agree with wdcook something is wrong? How many hours do you have on this tractor? We do not have a 6400 but this series should start down to 10 degrees, I would start with the battery's, cables, and starter, if still starting hard would pull the injectors to check they are holding...

    Calf Sled?

We have used a Koehn for years, it has held up good for us, have had cows step in it and been knocked around and still in good shape, the netting can be a pain at times but holds a calf in well. Good luck 101
