    Chokecherry trees

I am like the rest of you, have heard how bad they can be. However I have them in the fall and early winter pastures and have never had a problem with them. We ran sheep here for years when I was a kid and we never lost one to them. I've been back home for 25 years and no problems.

    Falcata - Yellow Alfalfa

I am wondering if Falcata grown on irrigated meadows retains its drought resistance and other dry land traits? What would be the difference between the two varieties?

    Corn losing condtion

I always read your posts, hope everything but the corn and too much moisture, meets with your approval there at home. I've had alot of very cold weather earlier, but now its fairly nice. I need to be feeding corn, but I'm too old to shovel it off, and too cheap to buy a corn feeder. So I make...

    Electric fencers

Mine is 1 amp and yes the lo impedence seeks something to ground to, as in animal, man, grass etc. Be sure and get a tester to check the current level in line without touching it yourself

    Electric fencers

Here is a little formula for you confusion. 120 volts times .83Amps/Hr equal to 100 Watts. 1000 watts are equal to 1 Kilowatt. Lo impedence means ground seaking, my fencer is 1 amp.

    Seeding Alfalfa

In times when our moisture is limited, I grow oats first year, cut and bale. Second year I plant 5 # of alfalf seed and 3# of grass seed into the standing dead oat stalks. Provides the packed ground, and a little shade for the new crop.

    Electric fencers

On the grounding rods, it would depend on what type of fastner one used. Use a brass fastner for copper and non cooper wire. Lo Impedence ele fencer. Wow what a kick, much more effective and traditional fencer.

    Falcata - Yellow Alfalfa

I've heard that one can seed that alfalfa by mixing it with say mineral and it is spread by cattle as they travel around, thru their manure. Anyone use this method?

Copper sulfat - Blue green algae

I use a small handful or just enough to cover my palm when cupped, for a 12-1400 gal tire tank. Bluestone is probably just a larger piece of this blue crystal mineral that we used to use as a horse wormer. It kills water bugs also.
