    CORN PLANTING METHOD

Every area is different. We haven't tilled our ground for over 25 years so broadcast seeding corn wouldn't work very well for us. My experience in production agriculture says go with what works and expirement on occasion.

It is interesting that biodiesel and ethanol are getting all the blame for the higher grain prices at the moment are being influenced more by the value of the dollar. Current prices are still cheap to foreign countries.

Need feed/pasture? Have feed/pasture? Check this out!

Thanks TTB. It is a little too far for me but I am sure there is someone on this board that it will help. This drought is going to be remembered for a good while. Three of the last four days we have had fires within 30 miles. Plumb scared to do much of any thing.

    Wheat harvest

Need opinion: No-till and reduced tillage

The advantages of no-till are many. Conserved moisture, increased organic matter, less fuel used, increased yields, better water infiltration, reduces labor and less weed pressure to name a few. We have been no-tilling for about 8 years and it is amazing to see the improvements every year...
