    Half done calving

    That's what cracker cattle look like only yours is twice the normal size of a cracker cow. :D Way before my time when the cattle ran loose here the cracker cattle had horns that went up like that instead of out. It is thought they became that way to get through the thick underbrush here in Florida.

    About 2 weeks ago we had a cow turn up dead. The herd is about 70 cows and is a closed herd so no new cattle introduced to them lately. Then another got sick and was very lethargic with a fever and not eating. She could void fine. The vet gave her a broad spectrum antibiotic and she appears...

    American cattle ranching is outgunned by climate change?
