    Will the idiocy never end??????

to answer the question: no the idiocy will never end. america is weakening economically and there will be lots of victims and the blame will be put everywhere except where it belongs - the usa.

    not even coy about it

from agri-ville. after watching bryan nilsson at ssga last june i'm not surprised. he wants everyone working for his benefit. I certainly haven't heard much press on these latest tactics. Here's a post from "Mary MacArthur, Camrose bureau Western Producer January 27, 2010 One of...

    Buying Local=Economic Freedom

picked this off agri-ville. it wasn't attributed but comes from a reliable poster: Russia is making bogus food safety claims to curtail or eliminate US poultry, pork and beef imports, say two top agricultural leaders in the US Senate in a letter to President Obama, reports Food Safety News...

IT has been suggested we run a poll

if you're gonna complain i think you should be prepared to take a turn at moderating. it's darned easy to bitch knowing you don't have to step up and do the job better. up here you usually find the socialists in that position because they know they could never get elected dog catcher let alone...

    Here we go...........

sarcasm sandhusker. i really doubt you would support traceback to the ranch. why ask somebody to be responsible for their practices? oh that's right you want the rest of the world to be. i told you before to be careful what you ask for because the next logical step is nais.

    Here we go...........

and of course sandhusker would agree with consumers who want to know which ranch produced the american beef they eat! or would he?

    Isn't COOL great?

the canadian cattle aren't the problem. the packers are. you've spent years shooting in the wrong direction and that's why your prices are dropping at the same time as your numbers.

    Isn't COOL great?

what a joke you are. it costs to get them across the border. do you really have no idea what's involved?

    Isn't COOL great?

inspections, documentation. what do you think? play your silly little game of ignorance but you guys screwed up. it's costing us and it's costing american cattlemen. the cattle cycle is screwed and the actions of r-calf have only strengthened the packers grip on the value chain. you have...

    Isn't COOL great?

boo hoo, boo hoo. cry me a river. and yes the silly cool law that you got did lower our prices. fewer plants will slaughter canadian and especially from the eastern prairies because of the costs associated with bringing canadian animals or product in. your cool effort has turned into a huge...

    Isn't COOL great?

btw the canadian cattle org's, by doing nothing (to their shame) have accomplished just as much in the packer competition issue as you have. you've been totally ineffective so bullard and co. decided to distract from the failure with a phony cool issue.
  14. D

    Isn't COOL great?

the lack of competition in the slaughter and processing sector. instead you decided you could raise your prices by lowering ours. you increased your own competition and so your prices have weakened as well. all you've done is put us in the position of leading you down.
  15. D

    Isn't COOL great?

there is a common denominator and it could have been pursued but r-calf followed a totally misguided strategy that the packers were able to subvert and use to their advantage. now r-calf is left in the position of having helped the american cattle producer not one bit and bullard can keep...

    Don't choke

having heard brian nilsson speak in moose jaw last june i think it was obvious his interests are very much opposed to those of the cattle producers of canada. charlie gracey, from my reading, also says we should diversify and meet other countries' requirements for export. he can see the mess...

Argentina Changing How It Raises Cattle

not a big surprise but not a good thing either. food quality and safety are secondary to economic interests that wish to take a cut out of the end product.

    Senate Cuts NAIS Funding

there is no bse in the american herd. that's just an accepted fact.

    COOL and Canadian isoweans

i can understand ot's skepticism. the usa can't trace many of it's animals at all so how would you prove anything's american? but i think that's the way they want it.
