    TIME Magazine

If I recall the stats correctly (now I'm gonna have to go look it up! lol), Argentina is both the world's number one producer of beef and the number one consumer ETA: Upon Googling, there seems to be some disagreement whether it's us or them (and apparently Brazil is in the running, too).

    Your Manure and the EPA

There's too much information missing. Which attourneys general have taken this up? Who have they filed against? What is the criteria of the "pollution" that will be considered? (Ie, it's usually factory farms that are the target of this type of thing... Mega-hog confinements, for example)

    Branding Age

We branded at the end of April, and started calving in mid-February. So I'd say anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 1/2 mos.

    Branding

There are days I wish we were closer to town to make this a possibilty... But as is, cooking for the crew is actually less hassle than going clear to town for pizzas.

Unless you find the floor model that's missing the handle. Then it's only $19.95 (and $.50 for the bungie cord that replaces the handle  )

    Branding

Like katrina, I have to work the day of, so I always do stuff that I can make ahead of time, or leave in the roaster for a while that day. Taco salad is our lunch break (I usually do a couple of big batches) and a couple pans of Rice Krispy bars or something like that. Dinner itself (early...

Amazing! We had a neighbor like that too! But everyone else seemed to have trouble those few years when he was twinning... :D

Historic Ranches Near Prescott, AZ Sold

Nope. I have yet to live in an area that anyone would be interested in "developing". (Or at least, not since graduating college) In fact, everywhere I've lived tends to be going the other direction, how to stop the out-flow of people...

    Implanting calves

I've noticed a regional difference, too. Down here, non-implanted do seem to bring a higher price (speaking strictly weaned calves, of course). And non-implanted is definately the norm. When we were on the ND/SD line, I would guess that easily half our neighbors, or more, implanted. And it...

    Pandering?

Me too. I always have this hope that it means they're looking out for their constituents rather than their parties. :)

    Pandering?

I'm not sure what you're getting at... He's been vocally outspoken against the Japanese embargo since they put it in place. This is pretty much in line for what I'd expect from him. He's also long been pro-ag (he was one of the rumored replacements for Venemen, remember?) and is a fairly...

    Walmart Sells Self-Graded Meat

Considering WalMart is the biggest retailer of almost everything from underwear to office products, I think it's safe to bet there are a few people who buy their meat there too. I don't, but now I'm curious enough to investigate Econ's theory the next time I'm there. God bless the nerds of our...

    McDonald's Wants Traceback Now

McDonalds is a highly visible company that people know buys an enormous amount of beef. Consequently, they're frequently the target of consumer campaigns. Their position in the beef economy means they're under a lot of pressure between those two entities, consumers and the beef industry...
