Meaningless counting of population disguised as something related to football. Very little objective analysis in revenue centric sports.

Don't see where it says that the players were chosen by votes. I thought I saw on TV where they had a rather large list of ex-players and coaches that compiled it.

Although there will be those that won't agree, I wouldn't want to take away the accomplishments of any that make the list.

I see johnny rodgers made it, now if they have OJ, I am guessing the criminal history is not taken into account

Troy Davis rushed for 2500 yards TWICE, and he won't sniff that list. If he were from a population center he'd have been pimped up 2 time Heisman winner and all over the "greatest list."

Prove me wrong with a list of 2 time 2500 yard rushers that didn't make the list from population centers. Don't waste your time, just bet me $1000 Troy Davis is on the list or save your money and call the list what it is.

"I wouldn't want to take away the accomplishments of any that make the list."

Addressing bias in a list shouldn't illicit any such concerns.

Are you sure Troy Davis had 2 - 2500 yard seasons?

I really don't care one way or the other what you think of the listing.

I question some of the decisions too, but still think it's interesting.

If this is all you have to criticize you are doing well.

Yes Troy Davis had back to back 2500 yard seasons, and played on an ISU team that defenses could play the run exclusively. In the old days, teams in the big 8 could play nasty run defense because it was seen as a weakness if you had to resort to passing. Before Troy Davis, no one had ever missed on the Heisman if they exceeded 2000 yards. This example can be repeated endlessly.

Just as you don't care about my opinion of media bias, I'm indifferent to your ignorance. To me its more interesting to leave sports to competition, and if you want to review something, why oh why would Walsh dog out Nebraska before they dismantled FSU (in Florida mind you)

And I am doing well, thanks.

I simply think it's interesting how and who history remembers as the gridiron heroes whether they be legitimate or not to some.

I am not "ignorant" enough to accept that running backs and quarterbacks are the only ones who should get these honors either, but they are the ones in the spotlight and the ones remembered as the best.

I guess Ernie Nevers was a media "TV Re-run" hog too?

Sorry you wanted to start the name calling.

I'm not so sure Troy had even 1 -2500 yard season. Even though he did the Heisman "pose" during the KSU game, he still came in second place for the trophy.

2,010 as a Soph
2,185 as a Jr.
Drafted before Senior year.

If you want to back to the NCAA Record books, there are lot's of guys in there who won various records that some have never heard of.

Tim Rattay has more yards in a 3 season career (over 12,000) than any other QB. You upset that he's not in this list too?
