It's 62 above at 4;15pm, it was 54 at 3 am. Windy most of the time for last several days. Chinook Arch is farther away from front than usual and is spectacular.

I was out in foothills looking thru neighbors for missing bull with Polaris. Water running down coulees to the point where I had to do lots of detours as couldn't see bottem, it's muddy and lots of little cutbanks in that field, in fairly random spots. Still some soggy drifts, up to a foot deep, mostly bare ground, water running down coulees, lotsa places plum greasy.

In our field, found a broken conduit type marker, up on a ridge, marking a survey pin. It was broke off, I pushed it in for over a foot and whacked it in another foot with shovel.

Anyway, found my bull, he's be tough to get for a day or two, he's fine where he's at and I'm about to go out on deck with sunday paper and a beer---lovely evening~~

We share your temps but lack the wet stuff. At least its a warm, dry winter instead of a bitter cold, dry winter. :D My evening was exactly like yours except I don't get the paper and don't drink beer. But other than that....... :D

I went out on the Big Muddy flats torun some horses in to change out with the ones we have been working. It was so wet and the crick was up so I didn't try the ice with a mixture of ice layers and water. They will probably show up in a couple of days on their own. :D
Strange January weather. :D

Did you have to use both hands to count 62?

Been raining and just above freezing here for 3 days. Kinda ugly out there. A bad crust on the snow from the last rain will be worse when it turns cold again. Hard on moose and cariboo, a joy for the wolves.

Bella Coola got 8 inches of rain in 36 hours ending this morning. It is still raining in the Gulch.

Nah---had to keep one free to wipe sweat off my brow, swat skeeters, point at bluebirds, throw rocks at rattlers, etc--the usual mid January stuff.....

True story there! :D

Gcreek, how many fingers do ya'll have up there? We have these new fangled contraptions called thermometers down here. Has a neat digital readout right on the front of it. Just picture you asking Deb to go see how cold it is outside and when she comes back in and slaps you! Like that but without the slapping! :D And digits are numbers. Numbers are like letters but ya count with them. Boy it's frustrating talking to a Canadian!!! :D I'll have Angie explain it to ya
