A couple weeks ago we traveled a couple hours to help my Uncle take some pairs to summer and to brand his late calves.
A windmill and the hills in this area aren't as tall and more rolling then the ones here at home.
His ranch doesn't have any meadows like the others in the area and so they just hay out in the pastures. From the photo you can tell the areas he hayed last year.
A couple of years ago my Uncle was given a conservation award and from the tree claims picture you'll understand why. There is a variety of trees planted from pine to hardwood trees. There are also some bushes. The idea of the different kinds of trees is that if one kind gets a disease then the whole tree claim won't be lost.
Another tree claim.
