The calves on the cows are showing some bloom. They will make weight for ya. The roan colt looks like he is making a horse. Are you gathering up on the state line?

$700 something bucks for a 1200+ cow....OUCH!  That's pitiful!

Not too bad for culls- altho I've been seen some good shaped cull cows going for as high as $60-65 up here.... 2000 lb bulls $70- $80...

You say ouch but what would you say when I was selling 10,000lbs of cows for $1,800.

Back when we crashed with BSE and we could start selling again I hauled a few trailer loads out at that price. Nice grass fat cows. A load wouldn't even put tires in the trailer.

Your cattle look great, it's amazing what good grass does for them :-) . The colt also looks to be coming along nicely. Thanks for the pics :D .

They weren't registered, and I got to keep the calf. Besides, most of them were quite cosmetically deficient in one way or another. The other plus is that everything else looks so much better now with them no longer in the herd. :-)

Saw Cull cows bring $75 and bulls bring $90 around here last week. I sold a $1,080 killer a couple weeks ago. Didn't hurt that she weighed 1,675!
