Well this morning had been fantastic! Two of Testimonials baby's were racing and Trust Nobody broke his maiden in an allowance race and Capstoneclearance. (Mr. T's worst runner, I thought there was no hope for this boy at all) pulled a second. I couldnt be a prouder grandma this AM :) one more to start this afternoon Pintaylor we shall see how he goes :) I am happier than a piggy in poop :)

I don't own any of the colts. They were all sold as yearlings ( yes you may all do a collective "duh") LOL I just like to cheer for Testimonial's sons and daughters :) He is really proving himself as a sire and I feel truely blessed to own a stallion on his calibre! This is a once in a lifetime dream :) girls and there ponies sheesh we never do out grow them.... Don't worry guys I will be keeping some the 2007 crop. I think I learned my lesson....

And one more for this week :) Lisa's Testimonial pulled a second in her first allowance race. I think this is more excitement than my poor heart can take!

sip of coffee???? I'm taking the pot out and sticking my head under. :D Gotta keep the heart going.....

Hey Lilly how is that pony doing? I keep thinking of you guys! Is he home from the vet yet? You sure have your work cut out for ya. Wow

No he's not home yet, they said friday that he's developed a slight bone infection....they took xrays and caught it near bout soon as it started, so they've got him on whatever kind of antibiotics needed to keep that down. I've not been over there in the last few days. Lil Lilly and the owner from Louisiana went over on Saturday and again today. He seems to be doin fine, no swelling left to speak of. But they want to keep him a week or so more just to be on the safe side.
Lil Lilly took the owner to the Local big feed store. And told him what all she was gonna need to tend to this horse when they come home......all the dressing and vet wrap, and what not......they didnt get outta there cheap.

Hey Katrina,
go to my website

www.changingstrides.com

and hit the stallion tab. If you scroll down you will see some photos of the kids. I posted the new one of trust nobody. Unfortunately when they place second they don't take photos. But it will give you an idea of the runners.

Oh judith,
I love them!!!
Mr.T is really pretty wish I could see more..
And Stealing Kat!!! Perfect name...... I put kat in front of all my colts.....
Way cool to see them doing other things other than just racing...
Very nice...
What would horses like dutch cost??

One of my biggest pet peeves is that horses from the racing industry are just dumped after their careers. When I looked for a stallion I wanted a horse that could produce babies that ran but once they had finished up they could move on to another sport. Mr. T is stamping the kids with his bone and also his brain. Very few people think he is TB, often mistaken for a warmblood. Very calm and together. If a mare is nasty I won't breed her. I am constantly pissing people off by refusing to service mares that are bad tempered but I also know that in the end of the day every fault is the stallions fault. I think we are starting to see the fruits of our labors. I couldnt be happier.
Katrina, I have no idea what a baby like Dutch would go for but I assume with his training they probably have a 10K tag on him. One of T's son's just went through the Ocala sale for 13K as an unraced baby. We will see him on the track in the spring.

One of the things I love about this stud is his soft eyes, he is such a kind ole boy. I know his eyes can't run but it tells you alot about his heart, it is very rare for a TB to race into there 10th year. He is truely one of a kind. ( if I sound like a love sick teeny I am!!!! I can admit it!

I am really impressed.... I have a friend who is nuts about TBs. And I like the long refined necks and usually nice heads on TBs.. Girl you got a good thing going...
Being a western girl, on the jumper pictures, how can a little strap hold that saddle on plus the rider??? IF I were to try that it would be ugly all over the place.... :D :D

I ride both english and western. I'm not a petite wee thing by any stretch. Built like a tank! I am also not a "pretty" rider. I'm quiet in the seat but not invisible.
With that information, I find english saddles slip alot less than the western ones do. Most saddles can stay in place even without the little strappies. So no it would'nt be ugly all over the place you goof!
Also most of us have been thrown in a saddle without a girth to "improve balance" (Yikes crash) The saddles do most of the work for you they just don't move that much. I don't think I am brave enough to ride in a western rig without a cinch.......Hmmmm maybe something new to try. Judith contemplates going out to ride but cannot get coffee pot off head.....grrrr....

Pullllllllllllllllllllllllllll Yankkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk.........put yer head tween yer knees......and heaveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.........unplug it first.....that'away ya don't end up in the floor from take off.......step on the cord....pulllllllllllllllllll.......

I'm fairly certain Judith's coffee maker is an Acme brand :P

Any time Katrina!

Lilly? You can get your head between your knees????

WAY TOO MUCH INFORMATION GIRL!!!!!!!!! LOL
