This last weekend we had a party with a few friends to celebrate 75 years on the Circle Y Ranch and BMR Dad's 90th birthday.
Here is how it went
Thursday night we had a 700 bale, bale stack get hit by lightning and lost 7 bales in the fire. God was with us that night that we didn't loose more
Friday night we had a firepit hotdog roast in the backyard for earily comers that wound up in the Gallery as we were getting a long needed rain.
We got over an inch, over night and it sent us looking for plan B for the Saturday planned events
The trail ride planned to leave at 10:30 was postponed a few hours. The sun finally came out late Saturday morning in time to have lunch
After lunch we had family pictures on the front steps
After a few pictures BMR left to check the tour trail and called back to inform me I could load the vans and send them on their way at which time the riders saddled up and left the yard too.
After the ranch tour the gang were greeted back at the ranch for supper, and program
After supper Edward BMR's dad was presented with a couple gifts from the Mankota Stockmans Weigh and family friends
Saturday finished up with fireworks.
Sunday Morning we had breakfast followed by a church service
Thats our grandson watching the service being put on by a cousin and some family friends. After Church more pictures were taken of the decendents of RF Burgess BMR's Grandfather who started the ranch.
After pictures we were off for pony wagon rides and more horseback riding
Sunday afternoon most everyone left for home but those left around joined us Sunday evening for another firepit hotdog roast.
All in all we had a great weekend and managed to give BMR's dad a surprize Birthday party that he will never forget and neither will we.
