A new arrival!

Well at 8:32 a.m. saturday April 21st my wife gave birth to a 7lb 8 oz little girl,she was a couple weeks early and had a tough start with a half hitch around her neck and came into the world purple as a plum. but she is from tough stock and was screaming within 30 seconds Some would say we were lucky, I would say we were blessed :!: our first was born at 30 weeks and now this...... It is safe to say 2 is all will have, one of each. We should have em home in a day or two I will post a couple of pics then. she is on the Grand forks altru hospistal nursery page, her name is Kerra LaVaun. Shawn

On a side note: Hubby's neice's mare foaled the same day! Pretty little dun filly, but her big brother got ahold of her and kinda scuffed her up. They had them up to see the vet after our Rabies Clinic yesterday, and she's got a hole in the side of her neck big enough to put the bottom of a 2 liter pop bottle in............ :shock: She was also born with an ulcerated eye, and he gave them some ointment to put in that till it heals.

They named her Baby Cakes.............. :lol:

I was just thinking if your wife had your little baby girl 10 years earlier, you'd likely not made it to the hospital in Grand Forks because of the flooding!

Well everyone is home now, mom gave us a scare with a bloodpressure issue, the doc thoght she was gonna go into siezures. but with some meds, tlc and alot of prayer she is back in the safe zone. It is funny that the things I thought were so important a couple weeks ago.....well they have no importace at all. tommorow I have alot of work to get caught up with but I am gonna throw some T-bones on the grill, sit back and enjoy some time with my family thanks everyone for the nice thoughts.
