A wet year?

According to my grandmother more bull calves than heifers indicate a dry year. So far we have 14 heifers and 3 bulls calves! Should we build an ark?

Yep- a heifer year is a wet year... I think you're supposed to wait until they're all on the ground to do the prediction.....But it never hurts to dream a little early... :wink: :lol:

We had 25 more hiefers then bulls last year, and got 7 inches total precip. Oh well maybe this year.

I've heard the same thing, too. Two years ago, we had a pile of heifer calves, best friend had more bulls. When we'd get rain, he wouldn't. And we only live three miles apart!!! Hope you have hipwaders for slugging around in all that water you're going to get, elwapo!

[/b]Now I had never heard that, but I'm gonna keep track this year just for curiosity sake...Instead of praying for rain...maybe I should pray for lots of heifers this spring! Hope it works!
