I found a few pictures of a "covered" bridge that I built about 15 years ago - - - the property has changed hands and the current owner took the roll up doors off both ends.

The owner I built it for wanted the undercarrage left on so that if a government inspector complained we could hook a chain to it and remove it easily.

This was a 48' trailer - - - we put trusses on it and sided it with T 111 siding to make it look like an old bridge from a distance.

The original owner would fold in his mirrors and drive his pickup thru, a small tractor with a round bale is no problem at all.

These trailers can often be purchased very cheaply and can last for decades with a little care.

That is just super cool, George! What a great idea and turned out looking very unique.

I really admire your ability and creativity in problem solving.

This is part of what happens when you spend your whole life working with other people's junk - - - I have never had I the money needed to have new tools or materials so I improvise!

Every loader at the gravel pit was purchased from a junk yard and I rebuilt and made functional tools out of junk - - - The same with most of the rest of my equipment!

The farm I have was totally covered in hedge apple trees and wild roses - - - no one wanted it and I bought it and a WD Allis Chalmers with a trip dump loader and 5' bush hog and went to work in 1972 - - - Now I have several hundred acres and nice facilities that others in the area try to copy.

This is not a mansion but a 1993 "Rochester Homes Inc. " Cape cod - - - I am dealer for Rochester Homes and this was a model home that had been on display for 5 years at the factory in 1998 when I took it apart, moved it about 150 miles and made it a home for my family - - - put it over a basement with a 4 car garage in the basement and added a sun room ( 26' X 26' ) - - - It has been home ever since. At about 1/2 the cost of new!
