Since it seems we haven't talked music for a bit I thought I'd start a thread fearing I've missed some new song that just sticks in a persons head or upon hearing it on the radio makes a person crank up the volume and sing along.

These are the ones I enjoy right now.

Lady Antebellum - I Run to You and Lookin' for a Good time

Katy Perry - Hot N Cold

Plus the video is fun!

You people have no taste for good music...lol...I am just kidding.....Right now I am listening to Niel Diamonds..." Brother loves traveling salvition show"

I had Ian Tyson's greatest hits and the 'Best of Chris Ledoux' on my last trip all I needed. Nice to hear guys sing country music who've actually saddled a horse.

Still lovin' International Harvester by Craig Morgan! Amarillo Sky by Jason Aldean is really good. Gotta love "Everything is Fine" by Josh Turner. Josh has a great voice for country songs. I like a lot of his.

I also still love International Harvester. There are some such as Love Story by Taylor Swift that I also still really enjoy when it hits the airways. I also like Gary Allans C.D. Not only is the artwork on the C.D. cool but there are some good songs on it.

Listening to music this afternoon as it snowed and the wind blew I heard the song Back that Thing up by Justin Moore. I thought it would have a funny video so looked it up on utube.

I post this for all the men of ranchers.net who had a windy cold day.

Speaking of not new.... I was listening to an Earl Scruggs recording of Foggy Mountain Breakdown the other day and fell in love with it all over again. Then I thought 'boy, it would sure be cool to be able to play that'.
Now that I'm about 4 bars into it I'm not so sure I'm in love with it anymore. :?
Or my wife for that matter  I fully expect to come back from checking cows one of these times to see my banjo smashed to little itty bitty pieces.

It's not new, but I think everyone ought to listed to Darryl Worley's "Have You Forgotten" about once a week.

Second that. There's one song that can't be played too much.

Silver you'll never be able to top that banjo riff you did in 'Deliverance'.
LOL

Did you guys know that Ian Tyson's voice is pretty well gone. He does some stuff with the Edmonton Symphony but no more concerts.

Mrs. Greg, I had no idea that Ian Tyson lost his voice. That is a real shame.

One of the best concerts we attended was Ian Tyson at Medora, ND.
I don't think many knew who he was, as there wasn't a big crowd.
He had a couple of guitar players and himself. It was a beautiful
day and the concert was just excellent.

Afterwards, he signed autographs, and the woman ahead of me handed
him an old record album--so old you could barely read the wording--of
Ian and Sylvia. Ian looked around at everyone and said, "I can't believe I'm signing this."
