anyone near the oil patch

we are looking to do some truck trading here, I have 2 Pete's over the road, and a Volvo on the farm...want to upgrade a Pete, turning one Pete into the farm truck, and sell the Volvo.....

I have heard that the oil patch guys are paying out the nose for older trucks in good shape... any truth to this?? and is there trade paper that those guys flock to for things for sale??

or if any of you need a good farm truck.....

big iron auction. know of a guy that sold a pos volvo that didnt shift right for $6000 and it was going to the oil fields in north dakota

I have bought on big iron, never sold..... my neighbor is a rep, I will track him down.... wonder if I can bid up my own item?

The only problem with your plan is you need to be updating to a KW. Lol. I agree about big iron although I haven't sold only bought on there. The rep around here reminds me of a dirty used car salesman (we got the best everybody else is crap and so on) they don't get a lot of local listings bc of him

the former big iron rep in our area was a scum bag also...but he passed away, naked, at another ladies house......I guess if you are gonna go to the key party at the country club, you need to be in good health!

We have bought and sold on big iron and have gone good both ways. Still have a few items that never got picked up. I would sure give it a try big can't beat the coverage of the inter web!
