The cows have been sorted away from the calves, and another branding is underway.

The Kosmo Kid is reloading the vaccine guns.

And the rest of the crew is taking a break in place.

The electric irons are hung on the steel portable corral panel.

Here is the set-up. The Rangers make good work benches. The black jacket is in place on the Ranger end-gate to provide shade for the vaccine guns between calves. The other Ranger is parked close by, so the disinfectant and water is readily available. The Vison 7/Somubac vaccine is hung on the upright sorting stick in the foreground. The injection gun hangs from a wire on the stick.

The generator is far enough away that the noise doesn't bother.

Here is a close-up view of the sorting stick pounded into the ground, which makes a satisfactory stand to hold this vaccine arrangement. Brock can step between the calf table and the stick, to go around to castrate the calf.

The short calf run-way has a nice little back stop.

The bars on the Cow Country calf table allow plenty of open space to brand and process calves.

Waiting their turn

Some photographers tend to chop off the feet of their subjects. I end up eliminating the ears of those photographed.

Or their hair.
