Finally got some bare ground.


Calving is about wrapped up, 18 left to go and 2 weeks to get them :? You know, after a year like this I'm starting to think Feb. / March calving would be far preferable to doing any calving in April.

Nice pictures. I really like the fourth one. The cow jumped over the moon. If this is her calf, it looks like it jumped right into the moon, and plum ran off with the moon still stuck to its forehead.

Glad you're baring off Silver. I talked to Mac Creech yesterday morning. He had just got back from a bull delivery trip to southern Manitoba, up to the Interlakes and back home to Lloydminster without seeing bare ground.

I was plowing on the twenty fourth of April a couple of years ago. And I don't mean snow plowing either!

It has been so cold this winter the trees all froze their nuts off.
