LOL ya know after I posted "neat old house" I got to thinkin that it might not be old. None the less it's a neat lookin house. Ya just can't tell these days, cuz folks go in and totally redo one, and it looks new....or they build a new house that looks old.....
There's a house up the road from us that was built about 5 or 6 years ago. They used wood siding, it looks like an old farmhouse...literally, paint peeling, and hasn't had much upkeep at all since it was finished. Then right next door to it, is a house that's probably 50 or more years old, that was redone with vinyl siding, new shutters etc....and it looks much newer than the new one.
Wow, Thanks all.
Actually it is an old house. I took that picture in Ontario when visiting friends. We were driving around the area looking at stuff and I just loved this house, it also had a gorgeous old barn to go with it.
I'm pretty sure the garage part was added on. Garages were rarely attached to the houses in that era. I would have loved to have seen the inside to see what kind of renos were done.
Only thing that I see that they forgot, was to put the lightning rods back on the roof. Lightning rods on houses like that in Ontario were very common.
Great entries everyone!! I sure like the bank picture!
