Our heifer calves (guess they are now yearlings) at their winter quarters. This is the gentleman that feeds them every day.

The ration is

Ground hay

Alfalfa

And DDG protein

Sunflower and Goose watching the gate

While Yellowstone and I sort heavies out of the herd

A Polaris Ranger for backup

Heavies headed home

I had checked the far hills and gathered the pasture while my daughter brought the horses.

We knew we were short a calf, so while she took the cows home I followed this cow back a mile to where she had hidden her calf.
I'm just glad she found it before the coyotes did.

I think Photobuckets are also affected by the National Sequestration, because they seem to be on strike. Photos are very hard to load
with their supposedly new and improved format. It doesn't seem to be very user-friendly, to say the least. :?
