My Dad was flown by Flight for Life helicopter to Colorado Springs tonight, with an erratic heart beat and wildly fluctuating blood pressure. We're hoping & praying that a pace maker will be the fix.

Your prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Hey all,

Dad had a pacemaker put in monday morning and everything went smoothly.
He's starting to feel better and will probably get to come home this afternoon or wednesday.
He said he enjoyed the helicopter ride, at 85 it was the first aircraft he'd ever been in.

Praise be to God and thanks to my rancher's friends, whose prayers are greatly appreciated.

So glad God protected him under his wings in such a difficult time. Will keep him in my prayers!

Buona Natale!

So good we get your good news so quickly! And that we can make our prayers of thanks for how far he as come, and for continued progress.

Those air ambulances are so important, especially in rural areas and situations where time is vital.

We need to remember and keep the people who do that work in our prayers. They are heroes, and sometimes they fall out of the sky for whatever reason. Results nearly always are tragic.

Our community lost 'one of our own' last week. He was working in the Chicago area and had fueled and he and two nurses started out and crashed, at some point. With all that fuel it was very bad and no survivors. He was in his early 60's and only days from retirement and a trip with family to celebrate before relocating to a warmer climate near family. As well as the loss to family and friends, it is a reminder of just how fragile those craft, and the people they carry, really are. Most likely, the accident rate per miles flown, and lives saved is an excellent record, yet so shocking and painful to the hearts of their loved ones when one goes down.
