There is a new history book in progress for Cherry County. It is to be called "A SANDHILL CENTURY, The Next 25," and is to be a continuation of the original two-volume set "A SANDHILL CENTURY," which was published 25 years ago. Family stories are encouraged and wanted. Two or three pictures can be submitted with each story. If you would like a separate Dedication Page, commemorating a family or ranch, these can be purchased for a $200 fee. Otherwise, it is free to just submit a family history. There will also be brand ads sold, and the brands will be printed on the opening and closing pages of the book. If you would like to put in brands, send a drawing of the brand, your name and ranch name to POB 188, Merriman, NE 69218, along with a check for $25 made out to "Cherry County Book Fund."
The deadline is September 1st. Hurry, but if you are a few days late, the stories and brands will probably still be accepted. I am working on my story, and don't yet have it done, if that is any consolation. :wink:
