Just got home from a tour with the 4H club-we started out first thing this A'M at the Mannville Hutteritte Colony wrere the first tour they've ever taken through their colony-everybody had a great time-our guide Andrew could do stand up he's one funny guy. What I found interesting was how they mix skills that are centuries old with some of the most state of the art stuff. I think what impressed me most though was the health of the dairy calves and their band of 500 Rambouillet ewes. I bought a pair of leather gloves too that look like they'll last a bit. We ate the noon day meal with everybody and I'd be even fatter if I hung around there much. We then carried on to Highland Feeders and Theresa Larre took us a good tour-the good weather has things looking good on the 26,000 cattle they have in now-16,000 fresh calves. Got the urge to put cattle on feed again lol.
