I have to cut twenty some players from our spring tryout camp-it's absolutely the worst day every year for the coach. No sleep tonight for me.Had some very talented and hard working boys come out this year-but only so many can get a spot.
 
Whose MJ bet he didn't backcheck very good lol. Everybody whose played sports has been cut from time to time. Sidney Crosby was cut from Canada's Olympic team last time out even. Your job as a coach is to have the player leave the interview wanting to improve. It sucks that hockey is winding down I'd like to keep right on with it as we have some great kids coming up. I just found out my best rookie D man is gone to AAA so there's a spot for somebody to step into. I'm assistant coach this year-we have a young guy that moved to town that's going to head coach-great hockey guy were sure lucky to have him.
 
Well we got through it-got a pretty good top 11 picked out-now a long six months until we can hit the ice with them. Now if I can keep the AAA teams out of my henhouse lol.
 
Kinda tough putting your roster together in March isn't it NR? Sixteen year olds can grow pretty big and strong over summer.
I'm going through the same thing right now with my two guys. Both are in Junior B lacrosse tryouts tonight.
Alistair made the team last year and they went to the nationals in Windsor. Ont.
But it would be great if both of them could make the Warriors. First time they've ever played together in their lives.
Shouldn't say that cuz I don't want to jinx Colin's changes.
Al plays D so he just has to whack and stack. But C-man has to show up on attack.
 
I like evaluating players in game shape-a 15 year old that's good now isn't going to get any worse over summer lol. I actually took three rookies in the top six forwards. We have a definate #1 goalie and four very good defencemen-just have to finish off the roster at fall camp.
