It's not very cowboy, or glamorous, but it works very well. One advantage is that these contraptions hold still while you get on,
even with the wind blowing, slickers flapping, and sleet in the air. :-)

The snowstorm has arrived.

Cows in the heavy lot. I dragged two new calves into the barn so far tonight. In both cases, their mothers followed along as nice as could be. :-)

It is still snowing here Doesn't look very good outside. visability is limited, more because of blowing snow then of snow falling. Hard to say how much snow we had because of the wind, maybe only somewhere between 3 to 5 inches so far. Looks to be wet snow. Temperature right now 15 degrees only to get to about 21 today. Storm expected to last until tomorrow.

Weather report stated 21 inches in our location about 30 miles northwest of Soapweed. We have some drifts 4 to 5 feet high, but the last half of the snow laid quite well. I'm sure alot of calves were lost, especially the guys calving out, but I bet you won't hear many complaining, because we were in desperate need of any form of moisture.

Soap, the closer you stand to such a pretty young thing like her, the older you are gonna look.....

We got enough snow, that my neighbor got his big Blue tractor and processor stuck. I took my tracked skid steer over and dug him out. Sorry for the picture, but his wife took it on her phone.

Took almost 2 hours to get him dug out.
