Perhaps many of you have alread heard, but for those who haven't and knew of Bob Jordan, he passed away a couple days ago after a year or so of poor health. The funeral will be held Saturday at 10:00 am at the High School in Harrison, NE.

I am thankful I knew Bob. He was a horseman in the true sense of the word. He was "kind". I learned the meaning of that word when he described a horse to me as kind. He treated me so well in every dealing I had with him.

Time did not mean a thing to Bob. If he told you he'd be there at 8:00 pm, you may not see him before 11:00. Then he might stay for hours! He would dial your number in the wee, early hours of the morning. But he always had time for me. He would spend all day showing his horses and visiting.

Even though he couldn't have felt very well the past few months, I talked with him on the phone a few weeks ago and he sounded as good as ever and never complained. He was on dialysis since last fall and had other health problems, that finally beat him.

The horse world will surely miss this great man and producer. I know I will.
