Brands

Seems like they get awlful wordy. Mine is a simple brand, but described as
Reverse R Hanging R combined. Not really a useable Ranch name or userid.
How about yours? :wink:

The one we use most of the time anymore is the Bar B connected laid over to the right...Call it a Lazy Bar B......That is the ranch (partnership) brand....Also still have a C Lazy T (tipped to the right) over a quarter circle that is the wife and mine-- and a few cows still packing the old triangle-diamond over a quarter circle that was my Dads and his brothers and the old partnership brand....The grandkids call that one the Smiley face brand....

 

[Big Muddy rancher]

This ranch is the Circle Y. My Grand Dad picked it and Dad and one of my kids have it in bifferent positions. My son gets Dads location when he's done with it.

I use a KC lh. It came with a place we bought and used it for a long time.

Ours is the Double D which is DD on the left hip we have a slug of single letter D brand's and we just use the same iron twice on the same calf and if things are clicking and the irons are real hot I can do 2 or 3 calves with the same iron.When I was a kid we lived at the end of Rainbow Road so it was the Rainbow ranch.The brand was a R with a rainbow above it.

We call our place the Spearhead Ranch.

read top to bottom backward B bar(also registerd with a bar on the hip as a trail brand), Quarter circle ll, U Bar(bar connected to right top of U) with a quarter circle under the U.
All brand left hand rib brand backwards B Bar also goes left thigh horses and left hip sheep.
quarter circle ll , left thigh horses.
B and U have a ear mark split left ear with a over bit.
quarter circle ll has a over bit left ear and a forehead waddle

quarter circle HE, the HE is connected, this brand was my uncles. I have had it since the mid 80's, I passed it down to My son, when my wife and I got this one, Heart E

Mine is reverse K over half diamond. Its my Alberta brand, I have to see if I can get it registered here in BC. I hope I can get the same one, I don't want to have to get new irons built.
