8) EXACTALLY-Used to do the broncs-but was most scared standing in Vancouver airport being the ONLY guy sportin' a cowboy hat??Northern Rancher said:Ohh it looked worse than it was to be honest I'd be more worried if he had to walk down a city street after dark lol.
Northern Rancher said:You might as well let them try it in as safe an enviroment as you can-seen lots of guys pour themselves full of booze in college and start getting on. A kid riding a quad without a helmet gives me more heart palpitations than one getting on a bucking horse-I don't deny it's dangerous but most things boys love to do are-I should know I used to be one.

I kind of agree with that statement, Northern Rancher. This evening my son had two friends over and they were doing a little target practicing and just having fun together. Absolutely no alcohol was involved. They were done shooting, so all three got into the Polaris Ranger to come home for supper. All three were sitting on the bench seat (which is designed for three people). My son let one of the other boys drive. They were not going very fast, but were heading west into the setting sun, and the windshield was dirty. The driver couldn't see very well with the sun in his eyes, and hit a hay bale that had inadvertently been unloaded across the trail road. All three boys hit their heads real hard, and two suffered slight concussions (so the doctor says). The glass windshield got broke, and some damage occurred to the front of the Ranger. It once again pounds into all of us how fragile life can be.

Hope they are all going to be alright.
Maybe that is the biggest difference between a horse and a motorcycle or 4 wheeler. The horse has more sense and ability at times than the rider and will overrule a bad or poor decision.
I have a couple horses I would turn a baby loose on. I've never heard of a 4 wheeler or vehicle of any kind, I would do that with.
Seen both them horses,Kodak moments for sure!Sorry can't make coaching in Sask.,would be fun but spent Sat.in beer garden's at Hardisty rodeo with Pure Country, now back to reality and hayfeild.Northern Rancher said:Ty's got four horses this weekend-two broncs Saturday and two bares Sunday in Kerrobert,Sask. if your bored and want to come coach. He's never been on a bareback horse yet so should be fun.I guess a couple Jr. Bulls in there too for fun. Pretty darn plain set of horses out in Calgary today-are rerides not an option any more. Greg did you see old AirWolf and Kingsway-I was lucky to see those two out in their prime many times-AirWolf was as rank and bad as they come-Kingsway was just a flatout honest horse who bucked everybody off. Interesting to see if they can clone them.
