Got playing around with some horses today-decided to flank a couple and see how they'd fire-you can see that's not a proper flank and didn't get enough on him but he shows potential for his first trip-he's a big soggy son of a gun.

Here's my purty paint lol-we lost batteries in the camera about 5 seconds after this pic but he really is catty-he just about jumped out the front of the buck chute. I just love bucking horses-not riding them but being around them. Hopefully this big dude keeps coming.

Do you ever buy saddle horses gone wrong?? I have a huge Morgan mare that is a bronc. I mean a bronc. Big boned old thing, we are gonna buck her out but never got to it.

Heel Fly- Miles City Bucking Horse Sale is this coming weekend  I'd like to make it down to it- at least to Sundays matched bronc riding- good list of cowboys entered-- looking at the sale website looks like they have a good consignment of horses and bulls this year with quite a few proven buckers selling...

looks like first ones a bucker for sure, gregs wondered where you got the second one...looks like a stud we had.Went to Daines bucking horse sale Yest. The riders were paid as they got on,no real cowboys, lots of boys from Hobbemma.Boy the prices were LOW,some they could hardly give away, nice mares with colts, less then 500 a pair, a beautiful black stud with bucking papers behind it 1200 offer, seller took him home.A few stock contracters but none of the big names were buying, a couple Franklin horses sold, not bad.Greg said would be good day to get into bucking horses. Anybody been to a regular horse sale latley? How are they selling?if yesterday was any indication I'm betting not great! It was a fun day though,Jack didn't talk to long, let Duanne do most of the sale

That second one I raised myself-he's out of a paint stud and a Belgian mare-lucky I wasn't in Innisfail lol. My buddy from Mayerthorpe was I'll get the full report from him. That first horse is an appendix bred Quarter Horse-some people brought him here for Ty to mile out for them-he's a rotten SOB-I told them he needed a flank strap and looks like I was right. The big money for roughstock is usually spent at Kling's sale in the fall. Were there a bunch of Morgan mares at that sale right on up to foaling?

I'm not up on Morgans, greg would know what your talking about, maybe that was what the moms with foals were, they bucked them out, then let the babes into the sale,Jack said they were papered moms, nice looking, nice babies too.Greg had a real hard time not bidding on that black stud and some of the moms. Some horses went higher then that of course but really wasn't high selling. LOL, I think it was the look in your second ones eye that caught greg, our stud always had that look and a bad attitude, sold him... I'm not sure where he went but he prob could have made bucking stock!
