Hey Everyone,
Does anyone know of a good brownie recipe that you might be willing to share? I am getting tired of making cookies for the kids at school, and last Friday they asked if I could make them brownies (a few said, "make sure they have a lot of chocolate!" LOL). I really don't have a good recipe, and would like to make them something good.

Hope everyone is having a blissful day!

I looked through a few receipe books and here is one that I think looks good.

BEST BROWNIES:

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
2/3 c. sifted flour
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 /3 c. nutmeats
1 tsp. vanilla

Add Sugar to creamed butter, mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour. Add melted chocolate and nutmeats. Use an 8-inch well greased and floured pan or wax paper lined. Bake 25 minutes in a 325 deg. preheated oven.
Tip: don't overbake, These are best if underbaked a bit. This is the recipe that I have used for years and I really think it has Betty Crocker's mix beat. Frances S.

I haven't tried this, I usually just buy a mix if I make brownies. Frances raised six children, so it was probably tried out a lot.
