Darcy Hollingsworth only gathered up a bit over $80,000 for two head in the 'Vegas sale this week!! We had a meeting about the jackpot that were putting up here in MidMay-should be a fun deal-the first day is all freshies and you can get on as many as you want. Take your top two scores forward into the second day where everybody gets one. This first jackpot is to sort the young horses and bulls for the second one in late summer. Maybe someday we'll discover something good enough to go to Kling's or the Vegas deal.

We couldn't make it to Vegas, but that's ok. We have the "Buck and Ball" on New Years Eve. I've never thrown chickens in a creek H, but on New Years Day the boys from Burch rodeo put on a chicken ropin'. Now that's fun. They have a "World Champion Chicken Roper" saddle that goes to the winner. Most of the guys that show up for the roughstock rodeo are the same ones that are in Vegas now. They usually all stay over for the ropin the next day. I heard the other day that it is now a roughstock sanctioned event. Yall should come on over and check it out.

With all of the different series NR, I'm not sure. They said on the radio that it was a "Roughstock Series" sanctioned event. I would assume that meant PRCA. Things have changed so much since I tried my hand at rodeo, I'm not sure who has what. It used to be invitation only. Maybe it isn't anymore.

Maybe they've got their own deal going with some other jackpots-doesn't look like Ty will be healed up enough to head to Loveland and Douglas on New Years.
