Call me a sissy but the low 50s or high 40s with heavy rain and 30 to 50 MPH winds just cuts me to the bone! Driving home from town most of the traffic was at a stand still as it is hard to see in sideways monsoons!

Sure is nice to go to the barn and find all the calves dry and content out of the wind and rain - - - cows were down in the valley sheltered as much as possible.

I think 0 and dry with no wind would be much better!

Yep. 35-40 degree rain and wind is worse on a cow than 0 and dry. Saps the energy right out of them.

Yup, I only envy your climate sometimes.

Good thing is it lasted about 5 hours then the wind and rain died out and we were at +59F

We never got any rain in Sept and only 2 rains in Oct - - - we harvested 1875 acres in 28 days and still took Sundays off - - - best harvest in a long time.

We could use some rain and it keep in the forecast but keep missing us - - - our time will come!
